Banaras to Varanasi:- A journey Of thousand years

According to The hindu mythology the city was founded by lord shiva but no one knows the exact time as the connection of this city  was traced back to  800 BCE and even 1800BC so we can surely say that it is one of the oldest cities in the world so what are all the flashback scenes we can enjoy in the city and why is it still one of the most important and highly acknowledged city of  India

Among the ghats of the city there are two ghats which have their onn importance one is known for its famous ganga aarti which happens everyday at the time of sunset on Dashvamedh ghat  and another one is known as the gateway to heaven (moksh) i.e manikarnika ghat according to Hindu believes if someone dies a natural death and then their body is cremated on this ghat than he or she will get the heaven and will  be free from this vicious circle of life . well the question is how much is the truth in this believe ? The answer is that you have to experience it yourself because no one knows what happens after death . The ghat is open 24 hours and bodies are cremated day night with all the spiritual ceremony

The Famous temple of lord shiva known as Kashivishwanath temple is situated at a walking distance from the dashwamedh ghat this temple is one of the oldest temples of lord shiva and counted in the 12 jyotirlinga of shiva being one of the oldest temples you cannot expect a lavish area with all the park and lavish campus but actually itas way go through a narrow row and also the oldest past of the city where you can find various shops of sweets and religious items , the sweet shops are not some normal sweet shops but these shops are the one who saw the enormous change of the city while keeping its famous malai makkhan and Launga latha in its orignal taste
